Nina Dauphinais is holding her custom built 000 (Triple 0 with 25" scale length, and 1 7/8" nut width) East Indian Rosewood Back and Sides, Khaya (African Mahogany) Top, Khaya (African Mahogany) Neck with Rosewood fretboard, and Head Plate. Black Walnut bindings with Maple side purfling. Gotoh Gold Tuners. V8B back strip. Tilia Americana rosette. MOP inlay on fretboard (inlayed markers set to the player side. Chechen and Curly Maple end wedge. No pickguard by client request. Gold strap buttons. The bridge is Rosewood with Bone Saddle, Bone Nut (1.875"), with extra light strings. The top and neck are stained Red Mahogany.

Mother of Pearl fret markers. The fingerboard is rosewood with Honey Locust binding. Rosewood Bridge with Chechen headplate and Chechen end wedge. Chrome strap buttons, with Chrome open back tuners. Many layers of hand rubbed Blonde Shellac to bring out the beauty of the wood.

OM (Orchestra Model 25.5" scale length) Guitar Maple Back and Sides, Engelmann Spruce Top, Mahogany Neck with Brazilian Rosewood center piece, fretboard, and Head Plate. Open Back Tuners with pearlescent white knobs. V2 Back strip. Abalone and rosewood rosette. Abalone and MOP inlay on fretboard (inlayed fretboard was purchased complete). Quilted Sapele Endplate with Padauk Border, Black Walnut and Maple Bindings. A black pickguard and strap buttons to be added once selected. The bridge is East Indian Rosewood with Bone Saddle, Bone Nut and light strings.

Deliverd to the client. The Specs: Lightly figured Mahogany back and sides, with a lovely streaked Engelmann Spruce top. The body is bound with Black Walnut and Maple perfling. The neck is bound with Maple. The Rosewood fretboard has Mother of Pearl markers, and the Rosewood bridge is accented with black pegs with white dots. The nut and saddle are bone. Ebonly headplate inlaid with Maple. Multicolor back strip, and two tone brown arrow rosette. Under the Rosewood fretboard is a double action truss rod.

The client picked the sets of wood in June, and we delivered the custom ordered guitar in September. The smile on the customers' face was delightful to see!

This custom order OM size guitar is now delivered. The specs: Perfectly quarter sawn Sitka Spruce top loaded with medullary rays with even tight grain throughout. Absolutely stunning Exhibition grade Quilted Sapele back and sides. Body bindings patterned Maple with Quilted Maple end wedge and fretboard bindings. Mahogany neck, EI Rosewood is used for the fretboard, bridge and special inlaid headstock. Gotoh brand tuning machines. Multicolor arrow pattern rosette. This one is electrified with Fishman electronics, so it can be plugged into an amplifier. Bone is used for the nut, saddle, and bridge pins (bridge pins are inlaid with Abalone and brass). The fret markers are also Abalone. Stewmac Med/Med frets are used. The deep bodies OM size guitar has a Bone Saddle, and a Tusq brand saddle.

Custom build for a client, as a gift for Dr. Perry. He was very happy, to say the least, gifted to him at a party. Delighted, and "couldn't believe how beautiful it was."


A wonderful sounding righthand dredanought guitar with Sitka Spruce top loaded with Medullary rays, Padauk Bariole back and sides. Honduran Mahogany Neck, Ebony Fretboard, bridge and headplate with Maple Old English font inlay and JP inlayed. Bone nut and saddle, Abalone fretmarkers, bone and Abalone bridge pins. Brand name strings and tuners. semi-hemispherical fret ends for custom comfort. The fret ends are about 1/32" back from the edge of the Curly Maple neck bindings. The body is bound with Maple.

This one has a light bear claw Sitka Spruce top, with straight grain EI Rosewood back and sides. The back has a D28 Inlay strip in the back. Grover tuners, D'Addario strings, with rosewood fretboard and bridge. Bone nut and saddle, Decorated with Abalone dots on fretboard and bridge pins. Mahognay neck Padauk headstock with Maple inlay. A beautiful Zebra Wood OM guitar with Engelmann Spruce top. The top is accented with a diamond design rosette. The nut and saddle are bone the body binding is Maple, Ebony bridge and Ebony fret board, Abalone fret markers. The head plate is Padauk inlayed with Maple, Open back tuners with pearlescent knobs, chrome strap buttons. Large Nickel fret wire is given our semi-hemispherical treatment for smooth playing. Many layers of hand rubbed Shellac on the neck and a Tru-Oil finish on the body, for a beautiful hand crafted finish. An excerpt from the client's email after it was received, "Very beautiful guitar.
